..and here it goes. There are another 10 panoramas that I will upload - all from that one morning shoot from 2 weeks ago;)

I just noticed that I forgot (for the previous photographs) to convert it from AdobeRGB to sRGB - please forgive me:)

Beautiful image! I wish I could edit HDR's like this - I really need to practice that! Do you use Photomatix? =D

I will probably disappoint you but that is not HDR;-) and I have only used masked layers and adjusted contrast separately for sky, ocean and ground. I have heard about Photomatix but I haven't got it yet - and I don't see any reason why I should;-)

Wow, so you used different layers of different exposures and just masked them in the right places? That's really cool then!

I don't have Photomatix either, I don't know if it's worth getting really.

;-) You got it wrong again;-) It's just one photograph (which consists from many frames, as it is panoramic) but I have just used one exposure for all shots; adjusted contrast for sky, ocean and ground separately, just brightness/exposure adjustment (three of them).

Well, if you are into HDR a lot, softwares like you mentioned will help you to speed up your workflow or allow you to do things that you couldn't otherwise. It's just that I don't think I will ever need it with the type of photography that I like to do.

Ah, OK now I think I finally understand! The photo just had such an interesting range of tones and contrast I thought it must be different exposures.. Great photo! =D

Hm, I think all of my photographs should be in sRGB here on devArt.. did you see any photograph in my gallery that you think is AdobeRGB?

hehe!:D YOU wrote that...;)
i never tried AdobeRGB so i don't think i would recognize the diffrence...
I only see that the colors of this one are very well...so even if you don't converted it, it looks GOOD in the end...:D :D :D

;-) got it. Yes, I did have something in AdobeRGB but on my computer, not here on devArt (that was just in the desc). I always work in AdobeRGB with my original files, but our screens does not display AdobeRGB so I need to convert it to sRGB when I upload anything here.

Extended visible color range. sRBG is smaller than AdobeRGB which is smaller than Lab color space but the printers that are available are able to print (professional printers) AdobeRGB - what gives you better looking (more colorful) prints.

Although you are not able to see this on your screen as it cannot display AdobeRGB (there are only 2 or 3 that can do it and they are crazy expensive), it does make difference when you want to print your photographs.

This is one amazing photo!

I have showed my dad this series that you took, a couple of weeks ago, and he keeps on asking me to show him again! He is also a photographer.

He still hasn't worked out where exactly you took this photo? Maybe because of the warped perspective, or maybe we just don't know this secret location. hehe.
Norah head is such a beautiful place, i'm glad i live in the area.
You're photograph is wonderful. Keep up the good work!

Thanks, will do! ;-)

Well, it might be hard to see when you walk there because the view through wide angle lens + the panorama will create something that our eyes cannot see (that's why I love panoramas).

U know the stairs that go down to the rocks/beach? It was taken on the first platform. I was running down to capture the rising sun and when I landed there, I knew that I will like the shot and in the end it was better than I thought;)

i love the tones in the background and the lighting on the light house its self, is it a HDRi ?

No and yes is the answer;-) It was done with one set of photographs (not three different exposures) but I have adjusted contrast and brightness for the sky, ocean and the ground separately. So.. is it HDR or not? ;)

Thx.
