Tagged .. funny things in crazy community

Journal Entry: Sun Sep 9, 2007, 8:22 AM
OK, I have a friend that loves to torture me (joking), so I got tagged. For those, who are wondering, this is she: [link]
(among many other things, she is quite creative as a photographer)

Let's get straight to the point:

The rules:
1. Post these rules
2. Each person tagged must post 8 random (hopefully interesting) facts about themselves
3. Tags should write a journal of these facts
4. At the end of the post 8 more bloggers are tagged and named
5. Go to their page and leave a comment telling them that they're tagged.
---------------------------------------

And here we go.

1. I love photography but recently I am doing too much of it so it's making me too lazy to be creative.

2. Living with the cutest dog in the world, namely, Patience is very calming. And she is a lady too!

3. War around the world and the way how most of the countries operate makes me thing twice if I ever want to bring my own kids into this world.

4. DeviantArt is amazing place but also a place where I spend time that I could be creating something - that would again (maybe) amaze people here on deviantArt.

5. Nature is more important than country's economy, but hey, why would we care - this won't affect us too much, only our descendants. I support Greens. It's too late anyway, but the least I can do is to try.

6. I like to think that there is lot more to myself than it seems to me;-)

7. Meditation is one of ways to internal piece but I still don't have enough discipline to do it every day. That will change! ;)

8. I felt like angel only once in my life. I will never forget it and always try to feel it again.

I have tried some, but it didn't work. I have to think of different strategy. I have created new web-site to start with, but I have to upload heaps of photos so there is lot's to choose from. And also, I don't want to sell photographs, but fine art prints - the difference? Quality, limited editions and of course price. I am not sure if it's the best strategy, but I want to give it a try and see if I can get it moving.

I didn't get it back, it was laser surgery and I had to have my lids closed for 4 days. So I knew I was getting my sight back, lot better than before but still, that made me realize many things. Too many ;-)

Well, Im glad it worked out ok and you have your sight back. Often it takes something like this to wake us up and appreciate things for their worth where we might have previously taken it for granted.

What you need to try and do is approach picture framing places that also sell art, especially around Glebe, Balmain you know....where the disposable income is and where all those new trendy apartments with trendy furniture who like to have class around them and money no object are. Around those areas where young upwardly mobile DINKS like to live, and make a deal with them to sell on consignment. Exhibit a few pieces in their shops and I bet you will have orders coming at you from arsehole to breakfast lol.

I already went pass this issue, cos got my eyes fixed and was blind for more than 4 days.. but it started before, I have learned how to enjoy the smallest things that people usually don't see. And I appreciate every single day, every single beautiful thing that I am able to see - and because of lots of training in this, I am able to see many beautiful things around. I am very thankful for this.

Oh, me too. I have currently one exhibition running but there seems to be not very good market for it in Sydney.. or I just didn't find the right spot and the right people yet.

Well lucky for all those ignoramuses that youre around to remind them with your awesome photography of exactly what they have but dont take the time to look at it and enjoy it. I too am guilty of that at times because yes we become blind to the beauty around us all too often. We see it but we dont see it until someone like you reminds us of it. And then we think....shit....this truely is a beautiful place we live in and take it too often for granted.
*sil-enigma:iconsil-enigma: Sep 25, 2007, 5:46:44 AM
Hey....good luck with that. Hope it goes well for you.
~ximo:iconximo: Sep 25, 2007, 5:40:43 AM
;-) oh yes, that we are. And extremely considering that we are able to realize that, because most people can't ;-)

;-) Thanks. It's not too bad the last set, although there is very different thought behind that set. I have to shoot couple more times and I shall be able to select the best pieces for exhibition .. ah, but there is always so much trouble with exhibiting photographs.. ;-(

Thank you very much. I love the feel of panoramic photographs although I regret that I am unable to share it with most of people in the way it is supposed to be seen - printed at least 2m wide.. that's when there is the power of the panoramic shot really strong. Ah, doesn't matter, I'll try another way;-)
